Rasta was a human male solider in the Zypherian Army who was instrumental in defeating the Dark Empire during the Empire War. Prior to joining the army he was the assistant to inventor Worthington, who later trained Rasta to wield a laser blade to fight against the Dark Empire.

Behind the scenes

Rasta was portrayed by Christian Highland in Inevitable Fate Episode I: The Rise of Tom Vox and Inevitable Fate Episode II: Revenge of the Dark Empire. He was originally only going to be an extra in Worthington's lab, but Highland's portrayal of the character was seen as the best part of the film. His role was expanded to Worthington's apprentice and Wolf's ally in Revenge of the Dark Empire and earned two spin-offs, the talkshow format Rasta Interview Type Show and the non-canon Adventures of Rasta and Maurice. Rasta was named by Phillip Ruscin while filming the first Worthington's lab scene, inspired by the Legolas wig Highland wore reminding Ruscin of Jamaican dreadlocks.
